I love the outdoors. Fly fishing, river rafting, camping and hiking are a few of my favorite hobbies. I've worked hard my entire life to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I've never had Covid and that has been confirmed with nucleocapsid testing. After my first Pfizer vaccine, I had emergency surgery to remove my appendix. After my second Pfizer vaccine, I had a mini stroke and was left with many neurological issues and vision damage. Multiple doctors in Spokane denied my injury, assuming my symptoms were the result of anxiety (which I've never had and still don't have). Ultimately, I was forced to look outside my home state to receive treatment. I have come to realize there's inadequate protection for those injured by the Covid 19 vaccine which is why I'm advocating for change.
Within 30 minutes of the vaccine I had extreme fatigue. I wasn't just tired, I couldn't keep my eyes open and just wanted to lay down and sleep. Over the next 10 days I experienced shortness of breath, I was easily fatigued while walking and would loose my breath just walking down the hall, periodic chest pains, a slight headache off and on (which was not abnormal for me as I have suffered from migraines for years), I felt like my heart was racing at times and the extreme exhaustion did not go away within these 10 days. I called and reported it to my primary care doctor at that point. New symptoms started showing up every 2 or 3 days for the next 3 month. I had extreme joint and muscle pain. Every single joint ached and every single muscle hurt that lasted for months and the joint and muscle pain is still very very active in both my arms and I am going into month 8. The only way to explain the joint pain I have in my arms is someone has a vice grip on every joint as tight as it can go and never lets up 24/7. I had facial, arm, hand and feet numbness and tingling, frequent urination, I still cannot regulate my body temperature, muscle cramps in my legs and feet, brain fog, vertigo, unexplained bruising, seizures, full body tremors, vision changes, constipation, anxiety, sometimes it feels like a rake is being drug across my limbs, bilateral nerve damage in my arms, muscles jerk, wake up with a stiff body. I have had multiple falls or tripping episodes.

In early 2021, I began to have a multitude of symptoms that doctors could not explain. I developed autonomic dysfunction, gastroparesis and histamine issues that my doctors now believe was long covid. It took months to recover and I was doing well by May when I received
my second Pfizer vaccine. About 12 hours later, I began having horrible bilateral leg pain and tingling. A bit of googling eased my mind as it can cause muscle cramping and I was hoping it
would subside in time. 5 days later I went to urgent care since it was worsening. It continued to worsen and I had joint pains, muscle pains, burning and tingling. My neurologist was sure it
would go away in time and I was given medication to help with the symptoms. After a normal EMG, I requested a biopsy and was diagnosed with small-fiber neuropathy. My life is over as I
knew it. I live with horrible pain daily that never subsides. I am in constant discomfort and it’s wearing on me. My 3-year old son suffers as a result and I cannot be the mother, wife, daughter
and friend I once was. We are very real and deserve to be seen and heard.

Last August my sister, Katie, was severely injured by the Covid-19 vaccine. Her adverse reaction has left her with many debilitating symptoms and poor quality of life. She is no longer able to care for her children and lives almost completely isolated. She suffers daily from tinnitus, hyperacusis, vertigo, headaches, and many other neurological issues. She has seen three different ENT’s, a neurologist, a radiologist, a naturopath, four emergency room visits, and multiple visits to her PCP. She has had an MRI, a CT scan, hearing tests, and blood tests. Still with no diagnosis or treatment plan. The lack of acknowledgement from medical professionals has left us feeling helpless and with nowhere to turn for treatment. It was through my efforts to find hope for my sister that I began to advocate for change. We need support from the medical community, from our government, and the State of Washington. We need to stop the censorship and start raising awareness of the many Covid-19 vaccine injuries that are happening. We must acknowledge adverse reactions to the vaccines, to allow for those injured to find support and receive adequate, quality healthcare.
04/02/2021 received first Moderna covid-19 vaccine. Within 24 hours I started itching and a rash appeared legs, arms, & waist. Also, sores in mouth and throat. I began struggling at work and feelings of what felt like anxiety went through the roof. 04/16/2021 went to a local minor med facility. I was diagnosed with a petechial rash. I was counseled for over an hour and told to stop taking some of my medication. I was given handouts that had information for Stevens Johnsons syndrome and was begged by the doctor to stop taking my medication. 04/17/2021 - went to ER due to diarrhea along with the skin issues. Two doctors said it was not Stevens Johnsons. However, did note the petechial reaction being present. Sent me home with steroids. I noted that my Immature Granulocytes were elevated this was the first time in my blood work going back to 2016. Being unsure of what to do and being told my medicine was causing the issues I went ahead and had my Second Moderna Covid-19 shot on 04/30/2021. My mouth blisters got worse. Rash cleared about one week later. Mouth sores for a several more weeks. I started to become extremely tired and my work suffered more. It was a struggle to sit up at all and thinking and putting this together seem almost impossible. Frustration and depression set in. Stopped working 05/18/2021. Had TMS treatment for depression, which got much better after a few months. My Psychologist and Psychiatrist noticed I had changed significantly and that I was having memory issues. I was referred for Neuropsychological testing. Showed miles of cognitive impairment along with slowing cognitive ability and easily distractible amongst other things. Neuropsychologist agreed with my Psychiatrist suspicions that the Covid-19 vaccine was the root cause of my symptoms. Was told that my brain had swelled and caused a TBI like injury. I now, know this is what is called an ABI or acquired brain injury. Currently working on learning rehabilitation techniques to compensate for losses and changes. It’s been over a year of extreme pain, confusion due to lack of information and censorship in the media and social media circles. I found a set of doctors who are now working together with me. It’s pretty difficult to have to be the one in the middle coordinating my care when I have a brain injury and until the last month or so could barely hold information in my head long enough to write it down. My diagnosis came last Feb 2022, "mitochondrial dysfunction and apparent vaccine related injury with significant ADL reduction". Have to read things over and over and am lucky to remember something. It's starting to improve. Feel like I now have the mind of a 1st grader. Muscle stiffness and spasms. Cardio exercises make me feel bad now, shaky hands (harder to tap a screen accurately or hold things or type or write), Ever cold fingers and toes even in summer. Reactivated Ebstien Bar virus (still active), reactivated Cytomegalovirus (recently active as of early 2022), and reactivated HHV-6 (recently active) . All this has been a dramatic life altering experience. I have been able to find some good in learning to appreciate the simple, really simple things in life. I was a technology executive but have been on disability since may of 2021 working hard to jumpstart my brain to take a run back into a career as I learn more about the aides I’ll want to bring along the way. I have lost myself in this experience. I've lost out on time with self. Time with family. Time with friends, memories, stock grants, and percentages of salary, bonus income, and MY HEALTH. Although I’m slowly clawing it back.

I am pro-science and received my first and only dose of the Moderna vaccine on March 18, 2021, as soon as it was available to me. My adverse reaction began on day 7. My left arm where I received the vaccine started twitching uncontrollably, and I experienced numbness and paresthesia down the left arm, in addition to nerve pain on the underside of my arm. Within days, the numbness and paresthesia spread to my bilateral extremities. This was followed by tinnitus, extreme fatigue, brain fog, inability to sleep, muscle tremors/ twitches, hair loss, multiple autonomic dysfunctions such as dizziness upon standing and blurry vision. I began to go into anaphylaxis without reason - my immune system went haywire. I have joint pain in my left knee, ligament laxity, and numbness from my elbows to my fingertips, and from my knees to my toes. I also have a burning sensation/ paresthesia in my arms, legs, hands and face. I was first admitted to the hospital in early April 2021 as I started to have difficulty walking. A hospital MRI depicted inflammation throughout my brain.
After numerous painful and expensive diagnostic procedures such as a spinal tap, EMG study, countless MRI’s, and seeing numerous specialists, there is still no official diagnosis or treatment plan for me. My chart notes will confirm that these issues are vaccine related, but the findings are not "pathognomonic" – meaning, they’re not specifically characteristic of a particular disease or condition. The doctors are stumped.
Not only are my providers stumped, but there is a lack of curiosity from the top down – from the NIH, CDC, and FDA. We are struggling to be heard and there are no support services available. Not only are we sick and just trying to get by on a daily basis, but we’re having to organize now, to roll up our sleeves and “do the work.” We did our part to end the pandemic by getting the vaccine, only to find that there is no support for us in return.
